I heard all in about an hour today that the Rays were offering Carlos Pena in a deal to the Braves for 1B Mark Teixeira and it quickly died. The Angels ended up nabbing Tex for Casey Kotchman and minor league pitcher Stephen Marek. It looks like one of those good for both sides...
