The Orlando Magic are holding their breath right now as Hedo Turkoglu and Jameer Nelson left last nights game against the Spurs with injuries. Nelson’s injury is listed as a jaw contusion and leaves him as day to day which shouldn’t hurt the Magic too bad. The Turkoglu injury could be more serious. It’s being listed as a right wrist sprain and according to Brian Schmitz he is scheduled for an MRI later today to find out the extent of the injury. This could wreck the Magic’s playoff hopes and essentially kill them in the East. Orlando may have enough firepower with Dwight Howard and Rashard Lewis to get through the first round of the playoffs but if they are going to need a healthy Turkoglu and Nelson in order to compete with Detroit and Boston. More news later when available.
