concept car created by John Andretti and Window World to celebrate the centennial
Indianapolis 500, will appear at Florida’s Largest Home Show at the Tampa
Convention Center from Sept. 2 – 5. The Stinger, a tribute to the 1911 Marmon
Wasp which won the first Indy 500 race, features the signatures of more than
160 former Indy 500 starters, including legends such as Mario Andretti, Johnny
Rutherford and Bobby Unser. Additional information is included below my

Car Pays Tribute to Centennial Indy 500, Supports Window World Cares Foundation
WHAT:
Window
World, Inc., the nation’s largest replacement window company, will feature ‘The
Stinger,’ a 2011 concept show car and tribute to the 1911 Marmon Wasp and the
centennial era of the Indianapolis 500-Mile race, at
Florida’s Largest Home Show from Sept. 2-5. The show will be held at the Tampa Convention Center.
The
Window World Cares foundation has invited each of the race’s former starters to
autograph the car. Window World Cares will make a donation of support for each
signature. So far, more than 160 former Indy 500 starters have autographed the
Stinger, including Mario Andretti, Dan Wheldon, Dario Franchitti, Buddy Rice,
Tom Sneva, Johnny Rutherford, Scott Dixon, Helio Castroneves and Bobby
Unser.
The
Stinger, developed by John Andretti, Andretti Autosport and Window World, was
unveiled at the 100th anniversary for the Indianapolis 500 in May.
The No. 100 Stinger features a yellow and black color scheme and enhancements
including a fully chromed engine, gold wheels and LED accent lights.
